I highly recommend "Charlotte and the Carolina Piedmont".
We are moving to the Charlotte NC area from another part of the US. I bought this book to get the flavor of the "community". I got that and even more. The wonderful pictures and well written narrative gave me a concise, informative look at the Charlotte area's history. The pictures came from a wide range of museums and historical societies. Many of those places are in the Charlotte area, close enough for further exploration. If you are interested in the Charlotte area I am confident you will enjoy this book. |
