Wonderful video that has Charleton Heston telling the story of Genesis. He starts with Adam and Eve and goes all the way to Abraham. The story is told in the Holy Land utlizing beautiful paintings by the masters portraying the story of Genesis. If interested in the Old Testament, this is the place to start.

Charlton Heston who has thrilled me in BEN HUR (for which he won his Academny Award), THE TEN COMMANDEMENTS and my favorite EL CID is remarkable in this telling of the Book of Genesis. This combines his brilliant acting with the magnificent scenery of the Holy Land and it gives us beautiful music and works of art from great masters of the past as well.
What more can one want from entertainment: Inspiration, uplifting and enlightenment -- if you want more than that go to the Bible and read the real book of Genesis or the real Passion of Jesus.
Get this one and you will not regret it.

I had almost forgotten how good the story of Genesis was. How could something this good slip my mind? Charlton Heston is one of greatest actors of our generation, but unfortunately, I can't think of any of the titles of his movies, at this time.

It has been years since I studied Genesis in school... so many years, that I had actually forgotten about many of key elements of the story. That's why I was so happy when I heard that Charlton Heston's presentation of Genesis would be available on DVD. The DVD provides all of us with a helpful reminder about just how powerful the story of Genesis is.

Charlton Heston is to be commended for his fabulous job in "Jesus of Nazareth". He brings the story of Jesus' life on earth to life as he shows us the places where Jesus lived and taught, while interweaving the appropriate Biblical narratives. Charlton Heston's dramatic readings give this DVD a truly emotional impact. A+++

Of course it's only appropriate to have such a well-known actor do this series. And it doesn't hurt that he has a great speaking voice that is instantly recognizable. Who can NOT listen to Moses?

This was mostly just reading of the scriptures with discussion & a few scenes of Israel. Just not what we expected. Disappointed, especially after seeing some of the kids movies Charlton Heston was involved with, as they were very well done!

i GOT the charlton heston presents the bible he doesnot give the total bible he gives bit and piece the filming is very good but it needs the full content......

I buy a lot of biblical DVD's for a bible study class, but I was not really impressed with this one. It was okay, but I've found many a more interesting. I wouldn't buy another in this series.

Charlton Heston is the greatest actor the world has ever known. I can think of no better qualified person to have done this project than him.
This should be required viewing by all elementary through high school students.

I do find myself finding Charlton Heston attractive, even in his later days of lively living..... Charlton Heston Presents the Bible has got to be his most memorial memory of the Charlton Heston line..... If there's only 2 in stock then I erge you to INSTANTLY make a coffee and order it! I've sat there many of a time watching this masterpeice with a tear in my left eye.
