I really wanted to like this book, but just had a hard time accepting it as a Harlequin Romance. The 'romance' was seriously lacking... nonexistent, really. The story was okay, but the dialogue was harsh and the characters were all kind of wierd. By harsh I mean that everyone talks bluntly to each other to the point of rudeness. The heroine is mean and a bit shallow, as the hero is somewhat wimpy. Not my thing. I need a much stronger and more passionate connection between the main characters, as well as some warmth and kindness. Maybe someone who is looking for more of a mystery might like this one.
