5.0 out of 5 stars Eclectic collection of songs make for one WITCHY album!! September 25, 2003
Format:Audio CD
My first impression? "What have they DONE?!" The "Charmed" soundtrack is a collection of songs that will mainly appear in Season 6, which starts on September 28, 2003. So, needless to say, I recognized very few of the songs. However, by my third or fourth listen to the album, I must say the CD is really growing on me. It's an eclectic collection of songs that will really please any fan.
1. "Hot" by Smash Mouth - What a FABULOUS way to start off the album - with a song that makes you want to get up and dance!! Smash Mouth has done it again with this song that'll have everyone bopping in their chairs.
2. "Danger" by Third Eye Blind - This song showcases a strangely retro/rock sound. I find it to be vaguely reminiscent of a generic song released in the 80s and re-vamped rock-style for the year 2003 - something those older fans and new fans alike with both appreciate.
3. "Strict Machine" by Goldfrapp - With its infectious bass-line and techno-sounds, this song - with its haunting vocals - is a great addition to the album. It captures the dark and mysterious side of the "Charmed" ones.
4. "Maybe Tomorrow" by Stereophonics - Starting slow and sultry, with it's guitar and drums, we're greeted by the raspy voice of the lead singer. Certainly not what we were expecting, but it definately gives this song a flavor of it's own. (On a side note, the lyrics of this song remind me of Paige, stating, "So maybe tomorrow/I'll find my way home." Paige is still very much trying to find her way as a witch, and as a woman...)
5. "Rinse" by Vanessa Carlton - This is my FAVORITE song on the album. This is an absolutely BEAUTIFULLY haunting and mesmerizing song that reminds us that while "Charmed" may be a show about witches, first and foremost it is a show about women.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Am The Son and The Heir December 18, 2003
Format:Audio CD
I'm very surprised by this soundtrack. I only recently became a fan of this show. After watching a few of the shows, I really fell in love with the theme of the show and wished like crazy that they would take it and put it on a soundtrack and what do you know, they did it! I was still weary of buying the entire CD though because I hate buying a CD for only one song, that has to be the biggest disappointment of any avid music collector. Still I love the show and I love "How Soon Is Now?" by Love Spit Love so I bought it. After listening to it all thoroughly there are some real good tunes here. The song "Maybe Tomorrow" by Stereophonics really stands out to me and it has quickly become one of my favorite songs of the moment. I also love the song "Strict Machine" by GoldFrapp. I love the show and now I've fallen in love with it's "soundtrack". The music doesn't sound like it's geared toward a teen audience, there is some real mature and well developed music here. Give it a try.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better then believed to be January 4, 2004
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
I have loved the show "Charmed" ever since I started watching it, and have been waiting for a CD and DVD to come out (still waiting for the DVD). I bought the Charmed soundtrack the very first day it came out and was thrilled to finally own it. After listening to it once, I was a little bummed it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I told myself to listen to it again, and I began to like it. Now I listen to it all the time! The music is a variety so everyone will like at least a few songs. With each song you feel a different connection to the show, but each song is great!

3.0 out of 5 stars Charmed -- The Soundtrack February 28, 2006
Format:Audio CD
The reason why I gave this CD only a "3" was because I really only bought it for one song -- "How Soon Is Now" (the theme song for the show). I must say that they've edited it cunningly for use as the theme song, so if you purchase this like I did expecting to hear the version used on the show, the version of this CD is slightly different, but it's still a great song. If you want to hear a really great version of this song, buy the Smiths "The Singles" and hear the original.

4.0 out of 5 stars Charmed The Sundtrack September 23, 2003
Format:Audio CD
The Charmed Soundtrack is finally here for fans of the WB's most popular show. The album features an eclectic collection of songs worthy of the show's essence.
Smash Mouth is a poppy, playful addition reminiscent of the show's sense of humor, Goldfrappp is ethereal and witchy, while Rachel Yamagata and Vanessa Carlton add their own brand girl power. The Flaming Lips' "Do you realize" and Love Spit Love's version of The Smiths' "How soon is now" complete the dramatic aura of the album. Overall the album is enjoyable and representative of the show.

5.0 out of 5 stars Like with any CD. February 13, 2004
Format:Audio CD
This CD does not have just one genre of music it has many and that will sometimes turn people off to it. You know what type of music you like. Take the time to listen to the CD a couple of times and you'll dicover that you like just about every song. Especially if you're a fan of Charmed you'll be inclined to like it. I did! Listen and listen good and maybe you can remember from what episode the song came from. Give it a chance and you'll learn to love it.

2.0 out of 5 stars COULD BE BETTER October 2, 2003
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
I thought this CD would be filled with the tracks from the show that touch you the most. Like when the sister finally got rid of Cole that was a good song. They could have had some songs from the first three season too. This ablum COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. I just hope when the shows DVD's come out they don't mirror this ablum. ANYHOW CHARMED STILL ROCKS!

Not as good as I thought, I loved the music in the series, but here it is like they put other ones that I don't remember I heard and they are not that good.
