Shame On You Procter And Gamble!!,
By Mike "Metal Forever" (Minneapolis, MN United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Charmin Ultra Soft 2-Ply Toilet Paper 5 Pack (30 Jumbo Rolls equals 83 Regular) (Health and Beauty)
Charmin Ultra toilet paper is the best toilet paper you can buy in my opinion. But this is not the reason why I am giving a low rating for the product. I am giving a low rating to the company who makes Charmin Ultra toilet paper, Procter and Gamble. They get a low rating for reducing the amount of sheets per roll. You used to get 250 2ply sheets, 187.5 square feet. Now the newer packages of Charmin Ultra jumbo rolls have been reduced to 231 2ply sheets, 173.2 square feet. That is 19 sheets less per roll you buy. Unfortunatley the company has not reduced the price of the Charmin Ultra jumbo rolls. So you are paying the same price for less sheets of toilet paper. So, Shame On You Procter And Gamble!!

I think it's very unethical what Proctor and Gamble has done. Good product, bad value. They have decreased the size of the roll instead of raising the price, but it's basically the same thing. I would rather pay more for more product. This new size roll is not the answer. It is annoying how more quickly one goes through a roll, now that there are fewer sheets. I am left annoyed at the product more than anything. I will consider a different brand next time around. I don't like how P&G does business. Very poor decision by the marketing group, in my opinion. I have no doubt they are all overpaid, and we the consumer lose.
