Great History of Charters,
By Sarah A. Bailey "Voracious Reader" (Manistee, MI United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Charter Schools: Creating Hope and Opportunity for American Education (Jossey-Bass Education Series) (Paperback)
I was a little leary at first because the book is so old, however, after reading it (required for a class I'm taking), I think it is super. I've learned a lot that I didn't know even though I've worked in charters for 12 years.

A book thatparents and educators must read!,
By Kim Wells, kwells@texas.net (San Antonio, Texas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Charter Schools: Creating Hope and Opportunity for American Education (Jossey Bass Education Series) (Hardcover)
Charter Schools may just be the secret to better public education. In a free market economy, what works better than competition? Charter schools are forcing our public schools to work, because they are showing the public that it can be done, well, with the money that we already have out there. Read this book-- and start wondering, where does your tax money really go?
