5.0 out of 5 stars the best new rock, April 24, 2000

In this sick sad world of pop music it is nice to see a genuine rock band tearing it up with amazing guitar driven music. Dirty Wake by Collapsis is a must buy as well as this EP which serves to whet your appetite. Rock on Collapsis.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Awesome CD!, December 11, 1999

This CD is great! I like every song except "High Caliber Grease" The secret track is great also! "Automatic" is an absolutely fabulous song. "Charyou Tree" is close behind. I listen to this CD constantly and can't wait for Collapsis's major debut Feb. 22

4.0 out of 5 stars a solid debut offering from Collapsis, October 27, 1999
This review is from: Chartreuse Ep (Audio CD)
This is a solid disc throughout for the most part, with the standout track being "Automatic." There's a great mix of guitar and vocals on this album. "Two Egrets" and "Charyou Tree" are also solid, but don't reach the heights of "Automatic" - this song will get in your head and never leave! Well worth the price of admission. I only wish there were more songs on here.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Songs from a Great Band, March 16, 2000

I bought this EP after listening to the band's first full length album, DIRTY WAKE. The songs Automatic and Two Egrets are on DIRTY WAKE. This EP is just a glimpse into the musical geneous of the band. I am confident saying that this band will be continuing to spread their geneous through the years to come.

Thanks to a friend of mine from North Carolina, I have discovered a really great band. Wow, Mike Garrigan, the lead singer has one of the best voices I have ever heard. It is so smooth, and sincere. He is a very talented songwriter, with thoughtful and poetic lyrics, that are mesmerizing. I can't wait for their new album on Universal Records, and hope that more people discover this great band, and if it wasn't for my friend, I would have never discovered this great band.

If you need a pick-me-up that's both smart and sassy, this CD is for you. The lyrics are clever and compelling and the music is excellent. I highly recommend this band from Chapel Hill.
