Chase The Clouds is wonderful and many things to many people I would think. The lyrics are delightful and sweet and the music is fantastic. Explored are different aspects of relationshps of various types, and other things too, like "Lazy Day," track no. 10.Keedy has a gorgeous voice which goes along well with the instrumentation and varied lyrics to make a perfect album. The songs are uplifting, reflective, joyous, sweet, breezy, serious, and other things in different combinations. Unfortunately for all of us, this is the only one she has made so far. My only disappointment is that the artist didn't make a large number of albums; the album moves effortlessly from light, breezy fare to some poignant pieces which likely remind the listener of an event in life. I remembered the song "Save Some Love" for years because it fit in so perfectly with the situation the first time I heard it, and I was elated to finally find the album recently. "Gettin' Around" is good background music for preparing to call up an old flame or something of the sort, and so on.

almost forgotten,

my sister had always played this album while driving me to summer school back in the day. so one day recently i had asked her if she remembered it. she didn't. i searched out the title 'lazy day', the only track name i could remember, and found it. i'm glad i did. it's not too bad as far as early 90s pop goes, and she has a nice enough voice. i would recommend it to anyone who's looking for some calm post-freestyle.

Like a Breath of Fresh Air : The Timelessness of Keedy,
By Cabir Marc Davis (Amazon) - See all my reviews

Despite being almost two decades old, Keedy's one and only album "Chase The Clouds" is a complete revelation. I remember seeing it in stores back in the day as a young lad, and my music tastes were very much the same - Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, NKOTB, etc, so Keedy's music would have suited me just fine. For some reason I never picked the album up, and it was only years later through an obscure blog, that I found and downloaded the entire album.
"Chase The Clouds" remains Keedy's only album, but what an album it is! This is a perfect pop album in every sense of the word, with the right balance of ballads, and frothy radio-friendly hits. The lead single, "Save Some Love" was actually a US Top 20 Hit - of course not one person you meet today will remember the song, but its a fine slice of that era. This is what a great pop song should sound like - catchy verses, a soaring chorus, and a bridge that actually works. "Wishing on the Same Star" was the second single, but despite being a wonderful ballad (I was reminded of En Vogue's slower songs, as well as Sweet Sensation's ballads) it never really got the chart success that it deserved. "Chase The Clouds" is perhaps the epitome of an unknown pop album that could be called a 'classic'. Every song is memorable (there is literally no 'filler') and it harkens back to a refreshing time in pop music history when all a girl needed to succeed were solid tunes and a beautiful voice. What a treasure this album is - try getting your hands on it and watch it become an integral part of your life. Four Stars.

Keedy, the lost Orphan,

Keedy is awsome, sings like a angel. I've known her for many years and she is very sweet, funny, a very lovely person. Last time I spoke with her she was working on new songs with her husband "Royce", and came out with her first video,if you want more Keedy check her out in her old 90's band "the Orphans" they were a 3 peice acoustic cover band from Wisconsin "they were awsome live" the Orphans, were the top rated cover band in Wisconsin, often referred to as "the human jukebox" as they carried a 400 - 500 song repertoire.
They regularly played anywhere from 225 - 300 days a year. During an almost 2 year run with the Orphans, Kevin, Keedy and Mykl had the opportunity to rub elbows with some of the classic rock greats. They have opened for many amazing acts such as the Doobie Brothers, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, E.L.O., Joan Jett and R.E.O. Speedwagon to name a few. Keedy played with them from May 1994 to March of 96, Kevin is still playing in the Orphans in Wisconsin, Mykl is now living in Las Vegas and started his own band 8-Track Romeo, You can also see him playing every sunday nights at the Red Room Saloon 3101 West Sahara Ave.at open mic night go check him out. the Orphans with Keedy put out 2 CD'S The Fruits of our Labor and PUTSOMEWATERONIT, you'll love it,

Manifestly this is a popular CD amongst Milwaukeeans, Wisconsin people, and Midwestern regionalists amongst others; the reasons why there was not a sequel et cetera is a complex question and maybe owes something to Reaganomics? Or maybe not. In any case, it is a CD I often throw on when I sit down at the typewriter or computer or drive down the motorway and is the only "Top 40"-type competition I am aware of for Schubert, Strauss, and similar fare for this purpose.
