Has a great ending, September 17, 2009
This review is from: Chase the Clouds (Western Lovers: Ranch Rogues #3) (Mass Market Paperback)
By the end of the book I must say that I did like it, but until the last 2 or 3 chapters I just wasn't crazy about it. It's like the author could not decide what kind of love story she wanted to write. Sometimes it is like strangers who hate each other and then love develops, other times it like a romance based on friendship, and then it also wants to be "love at first sight". I have a hard time believing that it can be all three. Also the passion seems to not make sense to me. They can passionately kiss, and then act like nothing happened, when there is no reason to do that. Even after they have sex, it doesn't seem like that changes the relationship in any way, which is just sort of weird. The story is written completely from her perspective and maybe if we had more of his thoughts as well then it would have flowed better and made more sense. There is a lot of "Oh God.".. this and "Oh God ..." that and while cursing can add realism to the story, I don't think the author thought of "God" as a curse word and therefore felt she could use if freely. I would have like it better had it been used sparingly or not at all.
