Born in Galicia, raised in America, Saadia Gelb emigrated with his family to Israel in 1947. Although trained as a rabbi, he worked at Kibbutz Kfar Blum as a tractor driver, fisherman, youth leader and hotel manager. For over half the twentieth century, he has been engaged with the politics and passions of the Zionist movement and the fate of Israel. This book is the story of his journey.
