Chaser Plus Hangover Prevention, 40 Capsules

I have been doing some research on "hangover cures" (in preparation for my moth of wedding parties and such). I read about this product and liked what I saw, so I tried it out this past Saturday at my bachelorette party. While it is slightly annoying to have to remember to take the pills, the next morning I told my finace I would gladly pay for Chasers any time I drink in the future.

Now since this was my bachlorette party, I had a LOT to drink.. About 6 shots and 8 beers. Not only did I not have a headache or stomachache the nesxt day, I actually felt really good. The only residue of the hangover I felt was the slight head fog, but even that was remarkaly less than normal.

I recommend this.

The back of the box lists the active ingredients: Cinchona 12x, lobelia inf 12x, etc. For those who are unfamiliar with homeopathy, this designation means that these herbs appear in a concentration of 1 part per *trillion*, or the equivalent of a single drop in 20 Olympic-size swimming pools. The pseudoscience behind homeopathy has been proven wrong countless times, yet for some reason people still believe in it.

I am betting Living Essentials simply did not want to spend big money on these herbs, so they diluted them to ridiculously low concentrations and slapped the word "homeopathic" on the package, a word which a sizeable fraction of Americans probably don't even know the definition of.

That said, the product does work. Why? Because of the calcium carbonate and the activated carbon, which are included among the "inactive ingredients". The tiny pores on the carbon allow the toxins to adsorb to the pill before they can be absorbed by your body. It is not perfect, and as it travels through your digestive tract toxins can be released, which explains why some people feel like they are still slightly `buzzed' the next day.

I have experienced identical results taking any number of generic activated charcoal pills while drinking, and I would suggest those who are wary of paying the big bucks for name brand Chaser to do the same.

I drank to excess last night, but fortunately I remembered to take Chaser every four drinks (or thereabouts). This morning, I only have a slight headache (barely noticeable), and a little grogginess. None of the characteristic nausea I usually experience with a hangover. In fact, I'm currently enjoying a bowl of Ramen and actually keeping it down.

This product works well. I am impressed with it, even if maybe it just has a placebo effect (I really believe it helps, when taken appropriately.

love this stuff! It completely works every time. I get bad hangovers pretty easily now that I'm approaching 30, but I still love to go out. I also don't really like taking acetometaphin since I'm a drinker, and aspirin doesn't really do the trick. I usually have between 4-6 drinks over the course of 5 hours whenever I go out, but each drink is about 12 oz of dark beer or a strong Capt and Diet. I know the Chaser directions say to take 2 with your first drink, and take more throughout the night, however I've found that by doing that it make me feel less effects from alcohol during the time that I'm drinking (that's the charcol working).
What I started doing is just taking one or two capsules before I go to bed or even the NEXT morning after a night out and it still works perfectly, and makes the box last much longer. I know its terrible for you, but I also smoke cigarettes while I drink alcohol which makes my hangovers substantially worse, and Chaser still practically eliminates my hangovers. Highly recommend!

Well if you're going to choose to poison yourself with alcohol since it's become socially acceptable to do so, then why not combat the next day repercussions with these Chaser pills? These always save my butt the next day as long as you remember to take them while drinking. I don't drink alcohol without a few in my pocket.

All you need to know is, yes, this works. But it really depends on how much you drink. If you are a sane person and you just don't want to feel ill the next day, this is going to work for you. If you are on an all-night bender... well, good luck with that. Honestly I think the best preventive medicine is drinking lots of water with your alcohol, but this stuff helps. I asked a friend of mine who is a physician and he said the contents of Chaser isn't too different from what they give to overdose patients, so it isn't complete bunk. Basically, take some of these with you on a long night out (or an open-bar wedding) and be sure to drink some water, and you will be alright the next day!

I've been taking this for the last semester or so at college. I get awful hangovers pretty easily. If I have say ten beers in a night the next morning I will be dry heaving into a trash can in a cold sweat. With this product I wake up without the nausea but just have a wicked headache. I would say if you were going to have around 6 drinks this would be a good product.

This product works. If taken as instructed, it will minimize your hang over and make your day after productive. Of course it requires water and sensibility but prevents the headache and nausea with a typical hang over.

I thought I was going to have to give up my Friday night cocktails because I was feeling terrible the next day. I then found Chasers and it works! I didn't really think it would but was desperate to find something that would and it did. I can have a couple drinks now with my friends and feel fine the next day. It's a fun saver!
