Review

  • "In my opinion, there are two types of books in the romance genre: books that are sexy because of excellent sexual tension and books that are sexy because of the explicit sex scenes themselves. Rarely are both blended so well as they are in this book. It contains multiple POVs between three characters which is becoming more popular with a lot of books lately. I enjoyed getting the different perspectives from the three main characters and being able to get inside their heads. I am EAGERLY awaiting the second book this week and I really hope Chasing Beautiful gets more of the recognition that it deserves." ~Goodreads
  • "Loved it want more!" ~Goodreads
  • "LOVED IT! This was a great book and can't wait for book 2 to come!" ~Goodreads
  • "We all have that puppy love that grows into adulthood, only for something to happen, growing apart, cheating. Then we have our all consuming passionate love. Usually the heat and fire blows up in our faces and then you settle down with the right man, the one that combines both of your previous relationships, keeps the good stuff and you fight for the rest. Great novel, worth the read, can't wait for number two." ~Goodreads

Oh my dear God in Heaven what is this I just read? Wow, this was bad. Let's be honest it's a freebie but I gave up around 40% in. Knowing nothing about this "New York Times, USA Today Best Selling Author" I didn't look at her mini bio, firstly, this book was hysterically funny but it wasn't a comedy. I'm assuming Pamela Ann is just using her first and middle names and she's a smart cookie...I can't imagine anyone really wanting their name on this book. I have never read so many adjectives in my life, oh and the Drama. This book was so OTT that I read parts out loud to amuse myself. The dialog!!! The dialog! Who talks like these people? Well obviously "poppet" does. This book was like reading a 16 year old's diary. I began wondering around 50 pages in who this author was. Before reading her mini bio I was torn between an American who was an Anglophile and wanted to appear as a Brit or a teenager from the UK. My first guess was correct. This book was bad, really, unbelievably bad...I would use 4 adjectives (like the author did) to describe how bad this book was , but then I'd be melodramatic like our H/H/ h were. Blake's abs were described so many times I think I could pick them out in a police line up. Thank God when my ambien kicked in and put me asleep and out of my misery. Once again, I can't even remember the heroine's name. Just so we're clear, this book was horrifically bad, time is precious, don't waste it on this.

Although the story line was good, this book desperately needs an editor/proofreader. In some places, the errors/omissions detracted from the story and had me scratching my head wondering who/what/where. Had this book been properly edited, I would have given it a 4. Hopefully, book 2 will be better.

Chasing Beautiful was a good read. I was looking for something a little different and it was on the 'other people have purchased' list. I laughed at the characters one moment, then wanted to jump into the plot and smack some sense into them the next. Overall, the plot has been done before, but there were plot twists and character backgrounds which made the plot unique and a little more believable. The characters were pretty well-developed although at times, I wondered why would you do that?

It was a quick read and left you on a cliffhanger just hankering for the next book. I will warn you there is some serious editing errors. Words were thrown into sentences or missing, and it did take away from the book a bit. I would suggest reading this book with that in mind. The editing and proof reading were obviously lacking when this went to print because most errors were glaringly obvious. If you can get past the editing, the story really was good.

DWL at the absurdity that is this book. I was even more surprised that it has prequels and sequels. The reason I can laugh though, is because this was a free Amazon book, but if I had paid for this, I would have been pissed. But then again, the only reason I started reading it was because it was free ... so whatever!

Anyways, first and foremost, this is NOT a love, triangle, square, octagon or any other shape. It is two adults with trust issues and juvenile tendencies who are trying to make a relationship work. I am naturally curious so I am fighting tooth and nails not to finish this series, but my OCD for completion might win, but not anytime soon. I need a few good dose of a good book first.

Anyhoo, once again, not a love triangle. Just some hot guys and a breathing female who notices even though she has and kept a choice throughout the novel. The ex-boyfriend/best friend reverted back to best friend material with a crush that she didn't pay an ounce of mind and the really good friend turned into a scheming, conniving liar whose solution for all their problems is quite ludicrous!

I got annoyed of being in Sienna's mind all the time and wanted some more conversations, preferably good ones with meanings and aim. Some wit, banter and humor would be lovely also. This story was too plain and annoying quite frankly.

Latin blood seems to run in the author's veins, because from language to descriptions, we got a Latin feel from this novel. The only English we got was location and accents. Not that I am complaining, but the cover girl leans a little Asian, then again, it doesn't matter because at the end of the day, this was an uninspiring story.

Blake was my pick initially, when I thought there was going to be a triangle.

I only read 30% of this book before I decided to stop punishing myself. This book seriously needs an editor. The grammar mistakes are glaring and the writing style is juvenile. This book reads like bad fanfiction. The conversations between the characters are very unnatural. And the main character's thought patterns are just fixated on men men men all the time

I don't understand Sienna... Kyle hurts her, she wants him. Blake hurts her, she wants him. The plot was just messed up and felt as if it was going nowhere. I don't recommend this book.

I read a lot of the reviews on this book, and I'm completely confused. I don't know why everyone is so into Blake. Sierra and Blake are supposedly "great friends." But, once they hook up, all they seem to do is argue. What happened to this great friendship? He's way too possessive and controlling. He was upset about the photo shoot and about her getting a job with Kyle. He should of supported her decision to help her friend on the photo shoot. Then what does he do? He threatens her by flaunting other women to her. Once, at the club in front of her, then second sending her a picture of a beautiful woman and how he would have his way with her. PLEASE! He's a childish jerk! I don't care how fine and good in the sac he is. He's an idiot. Now, Kyle I can somewhat understand. Sierra decides to move to another country and doesn't talk to the man she loves(Kyle) about it. You would think she would let the love of her life and best friend know that she was thinking of moving out of the country. Of course he doesn't want to tell her no, so he agrees. He wants her to be happy because he loves her. But while she's away he sees how unaffected she is without him. He's hurt. He feels rejected and unimportant to her. Granted, he should of talked to her about it before he broke up. Sierra needs to be with Kyle or someone else like Troy. Blake and Sierra can't even communicate with each other outside of the bedroom. And their suppose to have been best buddies? Really? Blake is no Christian Gray. I'm debating if I'm going to read the next book. Because I know they're going to have Blake and Sierra together. And it's just going to upset me. But besides that it was a readable book. :-)
