Have had this unit for a few years now. Very solid and durrable unit.
Speed of the flashing can be adjustend with the turn of a knob. Unit can also be set to react to sound.
Would recommend this to anyone who likes to throw dance parties.
This is a 'Must Have' for anyone who is just getting started in the Dj.

My kids use this when they play guitar hero, and we've pulled it out for a dance party at the house.

So far, durable and well made product with no issues.

I have collected a number of lighting effects for my own amateur party use. This is one of my favorites. It is bright, festive, and responds well to the music. Although small, only four colored lamps, you get quite a lot of bang. It does run hot, but that's pretty easy to acommodate.

I had a small party and no lights at all. I wanted to add something so I bought this item and it worked! Reaction to sound is great, but you have to adjust it when turning the volume up or down. It filled the dance floor with flashing light which increased the party feeling. The thing gets hot, but that's normal because of the four 60W lights inside. For a better effect and use in bigger rooms just buy 2 or more and they will lighten up your party. There's also a version with led lights but that's a least twice as expensive. I would buy this product again.

This is an excellent little party light, its super bright and really adds to the whole party experience. If you're trying to get the club/disco party effect, I recommend this light. The only thing that stopped me from rating it 5 stars was the fact that this light get really hot when in use.

This was bought and used to give some dance feel to an average stage and worked GREAT. The lights are brighter than I thought, and the settings allow you to change it to a fast moving "chase" to a slower moving "chase". It also reacts to sound if you so choose. The lights do get hot though so be careful! The packaging it came in was strong and prevented any breakage of bulbs or other issues. Amazon delivered overnight on the day we NEEDED them! Very pleased for the money.

I purchased this for a party and it is amazing. Lights even can be set to flash to the beat!

This light is a great way to funk up any dance party. My daughter loved it at her recent birthday. The bulbs are hot, so put it up high (for example, on a cabinet) away from children.

Bought this item through Musician's Friend. I took it out of the box and plugged it in. Nothing. I then had to take it apart and found that the hot glue used to seal the 120v connections had caused the wire connection to the AC plug to not make contact. This fixed I then found that the first light would light, but the color bank would not sequence. Evidently this unit had never been tested before it was shipped from the factory! I didn't even bother to send it back. It wasn't worth the trouble. Maybe I can use the bulbs. At least they worked. I'll probably never buy another Chauvet product again.
