I own 8 Chauvet strobes. I love the blinder function that was on the original DMX Mega Strobe. The Megastrobe II was missing this so I was naturally excited when it was added back the the Megastrobe III. I bought 4 of these. The first one was DOA. The other 3 have been back to chauvet. 2 are about to go back again. The blinder function flickers sometimes. One flashes intermittently and the other wont flash at all. Its not a bulb problem either, I tried that. I will say Chauvet's service is much more helpful than ADJ's.

Save yourself the headache and go with an Elation Proton star or a used original DMX Mega Strobe. If you don't need the blinder function then maybe even the ADJ $85 strobe.

This strobe light is insane. Ive used it at 2 of my past DJ gigs and it has ben unbelievable.
One of the gigs was at a full field house and the strobe easily blinded everyone in it.
The dmx feature works perfectly and everything adjusts well including the intensity levels (if you dont want everyone to lose their vision)
The only issue is that if you dont have a dmx controller its a little annoying to work the switches but you can just keep it on sound active and not have to do anything.
I havent managed to dent or damage it in anyway and appears well made and totally professional.
I would recommend this to anyone desiring a professional strobelight that actually works and can totally disorientate everyone in a room.
