Chauvet produces quality products, however they left out some important features...

-No On/Off Switch
-No Rhythm Mode (Flashes On Beat)

But it's still a Strobe and Flashes like one. The only control YOU have is plugging it in (which makes the light flash instantly). Also, there is a Pace Control - in which you can control how rapid the flashes reappear.

I bought my friend a strobe for $9.99 @ KB Toys a few years back that had: On/Off Switch, Rhythm Mode, Color Film (for changing colors [clear, blue, green, red]), Pace Control. So if this strobe is still out there for the same $$$ I'd recommend it.

THE AFTERMATH:

So I already wrote this review, but since then (only the 3rd time plugging this mini strobe in) the strobe light blew.

Chauvet does not offer replacement bulbs, however, after I contacted Chauvet through emails, they sent me a brand new 1 free of charge.

The chauvet mini strobe is a good strobe light for the price, and it's made by chauvet so it's not going to break down aytime soon. I was confused because I have a 25 watt strobe and when I ordered this, I thought it would be brighter. (this is 35 watts) was wrong. But it's still pretty bright and shows up well on objects about 3-6 feet away. It also looks good when acompanied with a fog machine. If you want to spend 10 bucks, this is your best bet, but if you want a really bright one, get Chauvet's bigger strobe.

Great little strobe. Plenty bright enough for my home use. As per instructions only use for 15 minutes at a time.

The spec for this item indicates 110/220 V for power input. The actuial item is DC4.5V only.
Contacted seller many time and still not resolved.

The flash produced by this device was pretty dim. Could barely be seen in a lighted room. Though, it is a "mini" strobe light. Perhaps it wasn't really meant for very bright flashes.

Additionally, after only 4 days of use, it ceased to function correctly. It would only blink a couple times a minute.

I returned it.

This strobe works as advertised. It's pretty bright. We were actually using it for a science fair project and found that it did not flash at 12/sec as advertised, it was more like 10/sec, but that is probably nitpicking for something that is designed to light up a disco ball :-)

This is pretty small. My son uses it in his bedroom and he seems to like it. It works well in a small space. It is very easy to use. It doesn't feel like it is very sturdy, but he's been using it a lot for several months. So far, so good.

Product performed as stated. I used it outdoors for Halloween and even in that open setting it lit up the area I needed; of course after dark it was very noticeable and added to the effect I was after. It ran for a solid two hours without any issues.

I bought this for my bedroom to dance with. It works GREAT! I could see it not working for a big dance floor room, or needing several. For the size my room it is great. We have dance partys in it all the time now. Awesome product

These are cool little strobes. I've added these to my other led lights, and foggers I have 2 of them. One on each side of our dance room. Works nicely on the dance floor. You can adjust the static on these for a different effect. Wouldn't be the same with out these!
