Lives Up to its name., March 6, 2005
It truly is gonna be a cheap date & short one, also, if you buy this for a date. It features some good tunes of modern alternative rock artists, but is mainly just padded with filler & songs that aren't classics by some decent bands.
The 1st half of the disc:
The first track is all right & is a decent opening track. The next two are the best here. They're beautifully done & could be Top 40 material. Then you've got two weak tunes, an okay one, & two more weak ones.
The 2nd half of the disc:
A decent opener but not as good as the one. Three consecutive weak tunes, a decent tune, the best track on the disc, & two more weak tunes.
It does a decent job of showcasing some bands & artists in the alternative rock genre, but doesn't fill up the disc, & is under 1 hour in length. It could have some more & better selections on it to make it be worth the price tage for it.
The pros:
It's only $9.99 at most retailers, 3 good tunes with Top 40 potential, & some pretty nice ones.
The cons:
The cover art isn't too well done, the rest of the tracks on the disc, & it comes nowhere near filling up the 80 minute quota on CDs.
