1.0 out of 5 stars Pointless and unentertaining
I bought this book thinking that the book would have some new kind of insite into the world of "cheating," or at least that it would be funny, or a good read. It was none of the above. If your interested in learning how to cheat, simply go to high school, and upon your graduation, you will have well mastered the art. This book is so disgustingly...

5.0 out of 5 stars FUNNY STUFF. PERIOD. The only negative reviews are from teachers., May 8, 2007
This review is from: The Cheater's Handbook : The Naughty Student's Bible (Hardcover)
I stumbled across this author's media reel on YouTube and thought he was pretty interesting so I bought this book to check it out. Some of the material is a little dated because it was written in the late 90's before Blackberries revolutionised the art of cheating, but overall this book is really funny. He goes off on some ridiculous comedy tangets about the anthropological roots of cheating by cavemen and other silly topics like that, but the drawings and diagrams are the funniest parts... like how to make a T that looks like an F for true or false tests, or how to fake a yawn while pulling your cheat-sheet out... stuff like that. It's kind of in the "so ridiculous that it's funny" category. Having read the book now, I couldn't understand the two negative reviews on here that I'd read before I bought it. Well... I guess I can understand when they say the book mostly covers stuff that most cheaters already know, but it's all done in such a funny way so how could they say it's not funny?!? If nothing else, this writer and his writing style is VERY funny. So then I just clicked on the bio of the negative reviewer and guess what? It's a teacher! Duh! Now it all makes sense! Hahahaha. (I couldn't click on the other guy's but I'd bet anything he's a teacher too.). Whatever the case, I highly recommend this book for it's comedy.

As a high school student, I picked this up for a gift for my friend. I began reading it and I was hooked. I have read this book three times it gets better each time. The best part of this book is how the author tells you the things that can go wrong. The real treat is this book is written by a cheater.

4.0 out of 5 stars THE ULTIMATE CHEATER'S DREAM, September 2, 2000
This review is from: The Cheater's Handbook : The Naughty Student's Bible (Hardcover)
Beware, such a book as this is a danger to the young minds (and not so yount) who are trying to make it in institutions of higher yearning (I mean learning) and want to cut corners. Why is this book so dangerous? Contained on every page are techniques proven over time on how to successfully cheat on tests, papers and labs. Students who hold this book in their hands will feel that they have died and gone to Cheater's Heaven.

Come with our author as he shows you the classic techniques of cheating from the stone age. Learn how to dress for cheater's success when taking a test. Meditate on various strategic ways of positioning yourself as you copy some one's answers on an exam. Oh, if you don't feel like writing that boring paper, pay a research service to do it for you

This is a hilarious book that takes us down to memory lane in the halls of cheatdome. Ah, as an errant youth do you remember your wandering eyes and crib notes? The author's presentation is funny on the subject of cheating and deserves four stars. In terms of ethics, forget it. But this is a book of humor. Enjoy and laugh. Just make sure the kids don't get it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly clever and entertaining for readers of all ages, September 8, 1999

Although I successfully applied "education assistance" (okay, cheating) techniques of my own while in school, I wish I had read this back in the peechee days. Just like the few admirable professors/teachers who inspired you to listen and learn the subjects they tought, Corbett's writing keeps your undivided attention with comical hooks and a style that befriends you throughout the book. It's obvious how he was so successful at his craft - I may have even let him peek off my scantron.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ethics are no longer viable in modern society; Cheat To Beat, April 29, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Cheater's Handbook : The Naughty Student's Bible (Hardcover)
Mr. Corbett's ineffable style will leave you rolling in laughter every page. Not only is it a gutbuster, but contains legitmate and innovative cheating techniques; even if your already a pro, Bob has something to teach you. The excessively pedantic nature of American Universities actually forces smart, realistic and practical people to cheat. No matter the class, few college courses teach you anything that can be applied in the real world. What college does do however, is teaches you how to think for yourself. What better training and education than fooling the teacher with innovation. It doesn't matter how you get the job done, it only matters that you get the job done. People who don't cheat often cite ethics as the primary reason, bull, their scared of getting caught! If you have the brains to pull off a major cheating scam, you are better prepared for life than if you memorize some philosophy of a 19th century.

5.0 out of 5 stars Funniest book I've ever read, April 24, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Cheater's Handbook : The Naughty Student's Bible (Hardcover)
This is the funniest book I've ever read. Beyond categorizing countless inventive ways to cheat, the author hilariously recounts every dreadful moment of sitting through classes, and he rips on every kind of student there is, from nerds to "slapdicks" to the self-proclaimed "cool" people. I'm going to permanently leave this book in my bathroom for a guaranteed laugh whenever I'm on the can.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely hilarious, January 2, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Cheater's Handbook : The Naughty Student's Bible (Hardcover)
Even though I've been out of college for a couple years, I checked this book out and it is such a hilarious account of the collegiate laziness experience that I had to buy it. Many parts have literally made me laugh out loud. It's the first book I've ever seen that speaks in the language of our generation, filled with Simpsons references, Fast Times at Ridgemont High references, etc. It's too bad it wasn't out when I was in school--- I really could've used it, not only for its killer tactics, but for its sheer hilarity!

This is a classic that you will won't to keep around for your children. The stories will make great conversation on dates, at lunch, and parties too!! This material must be taken seriously though and dont let a nerd get his hands on a copy of one of these. Get the book and you join the coolest club around.
