4.0 out of 5 stars Nice gift or bathroom book, June 29, 2008
This review is from: The Check Book: 200 Ways to Balance Your Life (Paperback)
This is a book in the category of "a hint on every page." You can give it as a gift or keep it in the bathroom, or have it for a bedside reader.

The insights are pretty pedestrian but a few unusual nuggets slip through - like making a autograph album of specific types of people, renting yourself a nice car for a personal three-day get away, sitting down with a globe for fun, coloring with crayons, planting a tree in memory of a loved one. A lot of the suggestions are the finding your inner child variety. It's a good book for people who take life too seriously or who could use a mental pick-me-up.

The back of the book has an unusual section - an area to fill in your own daily "balance" insights. There is a space to write relaxation insights, simplicity insights, kindness insights, stability insights and more.

There are lots of books out there to help people simplify their lives; this is a good addition to the genre and a nice, inexpensive gift idea.
