This is my second purchase of software by Smith Micro. They seem to specialize in re-marketing obsolete software under new names and in new packaging. This paticular package is an un-integrated set of tools that are inadequate. In spite of this, the package of software can be used for a few useful purposes. Tech tool platinum, for example, is a good product but has not been updated for the last 12 months or so of Mac OS X updates, and will not run to its stated potential.This is not a state of the art integrated tools suite that we have been led to expect by the very sophisticated offerings from the security software vendors like Norton. So read the fine print and be sure that you are getting what you wanted. |
