I read this book several times years ago{1960's}a good story, accurate in its telling of dirt track racing & a good story besides did the best book report of my school life on this book in 9th grade, the WITCH i had for an english teacher threw it out saying she didn't accept such "garbage".......guess she wasn't as "up" on teen literature as she thought...seems Mr. Gaults books were approved teen reading. |
