Excellent book for beginning to mid-level players.,

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, but also saw an immediate improvement in my game. I began to find things in my games, that before I would have missed. As result I won several games that I might have otherwise lost. Finally, the late Koltanowski divides the mates into sections based on which pieces are used. At first this didn't make sense, but then I discovered that I do poorly in discovering mates involving Knights. This book helped me discover where I need more work on my chessgame! To sum up, this book will help you improve your ability to see potential mates and carry them out. It will also help you to analyze your game and see where you need more work.

Provides excellent, well thought out, progessively more complex, practical applications. I had an immediate and dramatic improvement in my game. Do not give this book to your opponent
