I'm not sure the other reviewers understood that this is a picture of the light when lit. I'm glad I dismiss most 1 star comments, because whats shown is exactly what I received. Yes, it is a dark brown when it is not lit, but is very close to the picture once its turned on. If it wasn't dark glass, the design would be washed out once lit. The glass appears to be hand-blown, and does have some imperfections. One had a tiny dimple, and the other was slightly "out-of-round" causing it to not hang perfectly level. I will return that one for a replacement.

We bought these light, every excited because the other review said they look just like the picture and better. The lights we got look NOTHING like the picture. Our lights are dark brown with no swirls in them. They are just dark brown. We are very disappointed. Unless you are looking for dark brown, no personality DON'T order these.
