College friends and co-workers Victor "Vic" Chambers and Cecilia "CeCe" Graves enjoy their intellectual sparing matches, with both looking forward to graduation and Law School. Unexplained and misunderstood circumstances ended the friendship leaving them both questioning the decisions they made. Fast forward ten years later, Vic and CeCe find themselves thrown together again working for the AFFWAC, as a Computer Forensics Specialist and Money Laundering Specialist,respectfully. Working to solve a murder, a money laundering scheme, and locate a hacker, they must deal with unresolved apologies and long kept secrets.

CHECKS AND BLANCES is true to its title checking and re checking facts as they try to solve the case while balancing their lives with respect. The story line was humorous, with a dash of suspense, a mixture of the unknown and family betrayal. Secondary characters added to the balance at perfect points in the story. A well-written story with characters, scenes and actions you were able to see and feel.

I really enjoyed this book. I read it in 2 days I only put it down because, I needed to get things done that I knew needed to be done. I really enjoy CeCe and Victor. You never lose your love even if it's 10 years later.

This story will keep you on the edge of your seat from the first page to the last. The storyline had a lot drama, great love scenes and the twists and turns will keep you guessing who are the good guys and who are the bad guys. Just when you think you know who all the players are, you will be surprised at the cast of characters and their role in the money laundering scheme. The ending was the bomb! Great story!
