This book is so cute! The artwork is so adorable. I have looked at it more times than I can count and I still can't get over how cute it is. I gave my niece a copy of this book when she was 16 months old, and 8 months later, it is still her favorite.

Cheep! Cheep! is very cute. I do find myself 'explaining' the simplistic text or adding words as I read. For example, one page reads: 'Heap heap heap heap.' So, as the adult reader, I might say: 'Oh, look, the chicks fell down! They're piled in a heap heap heap!'

The sturdy pages, rounded edges, and smaller size of the book make it a very cute baby gift.

This is the book I always present to the "only" child who is about to become the Big Brother or Big Sister. The birth of a sibling is a common picture-book theme, but the newcomer is usually portrayed (however humorously) as a monster, usurper, or rival. In the tender and funny CHEEP! CHEEP!, the new arrival is a welcome addition to the snuggly group. A sweet reassurance, packaged in a few brilliantly-chosen words. And the illustrations are utterly delightful.

Both my kids (1 y.o. and 3 y.o.) love this book! The pictures are adorable. My daughter has loved it from day 1, when we bought it 2 years ago, and she still loves it. Makes them both giggle, and she likes to point out each family member and relate them back to our own family. It's perfect for a child expecting a younger sibling. Quick read, but with a lot of potential asides. She even makes up stories for the clever illustrations. Highly recommend!

A chicken family awaits the arrival of a new family member. Truly unique illustration-- rooster, hen, and chicks are created with cloth. There is a wonderful feeling of texture and depth, and the chicken characters are absolutely adorable.

One odd note is that the egg is alone, not warmed by it's mother. But putting that aside, the book shows some real bird behavior (the family roosts, the chick "pips" through the shell). Children will anticipate the arrival of the new baby and be delighted by the simple cute story.

This is not a board book but it has very sturdy pages, more similiar to a real book. It is quite simple- I got it for my son when he was a year old and it is still one of his favorites (he is 17 months now). I never thought this would be a book that he'd love, but over and over he wants to look at it.

My 10-month old son laughs so hard when I read him this book that he gets the hiccups. He loves the sounds and pictures. This is a must-have for our house!

This book is great for a quick read before bed since it is only about 2 words per page. It holds the attention span of my 20-month-old twin girls with the bright pictures of chicks. They love the pictures and find it funny the words.

My 10 month old love this book. It is not a board book, but the pages are very thick and she can turn them herself. The illustrations are so inviting. It becomes a different story each time we read it as she flips back and forth focusing on different aspects each time. Great book to have. Also would be a great for older kids to share with the little ones.

This book is adorable! A great gift for a baby shower or early birthday, all of the words rhyme and repeat.

Cheep! Cheep! Cheep! the birds all fall over at one point and start going 'Heap! Heap! Heap!' and its pretty much the same thru-out. But the illustrations are so adorable, I hope they make more in the same vein. I think little kids will love this book.
