About the Author
Janet Fletcher is a food columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle whose writing has garnered two James Beard Awards and the IACP Bert Greene Award. She has written for Food & Wine, Bon Appetit, Fine Cooking, and Metropolitan Home, among other national publications. She is the author of numerous cookbooks, including Four Seasons Pasta, The Cheese Course, and Fresh from the Farmers' Market. Fletcher lives in Napa, California. Victoria Pearson is a Los Angeles-based photographer. Her photographs have appeared in many cookbooks, including Party Appetizers, Ice Creams & Sorbets, and Dinner Parties, all published by Chronicle Books.

This is great fun if you are having a cheese tasting party for the first time. I was disappointed that there were not more cheese "description cards" and some basic ones at that. You can write your own name plates which is great- the one on top is just an example. The name cards are sturdy and you can save them for future parties- just use a new toothpick obviously. A great buy for a fun party but not for the expert cheese party thrower!
