I am using this for an ASUS 26" 21 lb monitor. After reading the previous review I was very careful to follow the installation instructions which are adequate but leave a few details out. First, when you mount the thing to the wall studs use a level on the side of the base or it will probably end up slightly crooked. Next, the included allen wrenches are not discussed but are for tightening the tilt mechanism in the back. At first glance it appears there is a phillips head screw for that on each side, but not so. If you tighten the four allen screws mentioned above there will be no problem with the tilt adjustment. Having done all this I can say this thing is a real bargain. It works very well for what I am using it for and I would highly recommend it, especially if you want to get your monitor off your desk.

I was concerned about this purchase given the great price (I did alot of online & retail shopping). But let me tell you, this is one heavy-duty, clean designed hunk of metal. Makes for a very secure and professional/clean installation.

Although there are no photos, this unit tilts vertically (up / down), horizontally (back / forth), and can move up against or extend from the wall. Essentially universal movement.

An unexpected bonus was the inclusion of ALL necessary mounting hardware including 3-4 sets of TV mount screws (to fit any TV), heavy-duty wall mount bolts, wall anchors for installing into concrete, and readable instructions (not just a poor translation to english).

The only reason I can imagine this would receive a negative review would be that it was installed incorrectly (which, of course, has nothing to do with the product).

As with any mount at ANY price, you must mount this into a wall stud or solid (concrete/wood/other) wall and NOT into drywall or plaster (that's not what the included wall anchors are for and the instructions indicate that).

Highly recommended product.

I just purchased a 19" LCD TV for the kitchen. Because it was high up on a shelf, the viewing angle was too much and the picture looked bad. This TV mount was just what I needed to allow the TV to tilt forward to minimize the vertical viewing angle. The price was very reasonable, shipping was fast and they were very willing to help me pick out just the right mount.

I purchased this item to replace a similar item because this new one protrudes from the wall farther. I installed it inside a door jamb. Now if I am in either room the TV can easily be turned to face that room. The tilting up/down feature is a little difficult to adjust but once it is set, it's over.

It appears to be well made. Nice finish. Unobtrusive. I am happy with it. Knowing what I know now, would I purchase this item? Yes.

Hope this helps in your decision to purchase, or not, this product.

This mount worked great for our 26" monitor. I wasnt expecting such good quality for the less than $20 I paid for it, but I was really surprised. It holds good and you cant even see it under the TV! Worked out perfect! It was really small too, which I didnt think it would be either. I love this thing! Now if I could find a way to hide the cables!

I bought this mount because the one I have only tilts +-15 degrees and I needed more. This one advertizes +-30 degrees. HOWEVER, it only tilts +- 15 degrees (in the instructions and actually.)

I'm using this to mount a 10" flat-panel TV under the cabinets. It will replace a 5" TV I've had for several years there. This is a different application than what it's made for but it works fine. It swings down instead of sideways. All the friction points are adjustable with metric Allen key or adjustable wrench so you can make it as loose or as tight as you like. The write-up doesn't say so but it came with a decent level, worth about $5 and with an HDMI digital cable about 6 feet long worth about $10. So for $12 you get the mount, the bolts, a level and an HDMI cable. Not bad!

The wall bracket was perfect for my TV. I think that it was meant to be used with my Vizio because even the area where the television gets mounted was the exact measurement. It moves nicely and would highly recommend to anyone who needs this great gadget.

Samsung 22 inch SynchMaster 226bw
Works quite well, but only has forward/backward tilt. No side-to-side tilt. Make sure your screw holes are level!!
