Cheetah Mounts APTMLB Large Vesa 800 Tilt Mount

This is an extra large version of our standard tilt mount.  The extra size will fit displays with hole patterns up to 33.5" wide and 20" tall,  including the VESA 800 hole pattern used by LG, Philips, and others.  Additionally, as the wall plate is 34.7" wide it can be mounted into 3 standard wall studs 16" apart rather than 2 like most standard mounts.    VESA 800 is a hole pattern where the holes on the back of the display are 800mm apart horizontally.  800mm is about 32".   Not all LG and Philips units use the VESA 800 hole pattern.  Many use a VESA 600 hole pattern.  If your display is only VESA 600 then you can use any of our standard mounts.  If you are not sure, this mount will handle both VESA 600 and VESA 800.       This mount is made from 2mm steel and can handle displays weighing up to 165lbs.  The open backplate design makes it very easy to position your mount relative to wall outlets and to choose wherever you would like to run your cables through the wall.  The unit features a unique tilt mechanism that tilts from -5 degrees to +25 degrees.  At the bottom of each of the arms it is possible to attach a lock for security.  The lock shown in the picture is not included with the mount.  The wall plate has a built in bubble level to assist in obtaining a level installation.  This mount is currently only available in black.  Installation instructions and all mounting hardware are included.

The APTML tilt mount features a universal design that allows you to mount virtually any LCD/Plasma display. The APTML supports hole patterns up to 33-Inch horizontally by 19-Inch vertically as well as VESA hole patterns up to 600x400mm. The APTML is designed with a slim 1.9-Inch profile as well as 15 degrees of downward tilt. The APTML is constructed with 9 LBS of 100% High Grade Steel providing a sturdy and reliable mount. The APTML's solid wall plate allows for quick and easy installation and will support installation to studs up to 30-Inch apart (most homes are constructed with either 16-Inch or 24-Inch wood studs). The APTML mount will fit the majority of LCD and Plasma Displays up to 63-Inch

I looked at all of the local stores in the area and all mounts were 3 to 4 times more expensive. I ordered this mount and found it very easy to install with all necessary parts plus a small level. I mounted a 55" Samsung and with the help of my wife, placed the TV on the wall. Tip: You may need to use some washers or spacers on the back of the TV if the screws are a bit too long. If you don't have them at home, any hardware store will have them. Just mount the brackets onto the back of the TV first to see if you need them. I just added a few washers under the head of the screws that attach to the TV and all was fine.
Buy or rent a few videos with the money you save!
I did not use the tilt feature althhough it is there if ever needed. The tilt feature can be used for installing additional cables and then the TV can be pushed back to a vertical position. The TV hugs the wall very nicely just as the "no tilt" models do.
Distance from wall to back of Samsung: Approx. 2 inches. Just right for the cables and power cord which are wall mounted behind the TV. They run up the wall behind the drywall.
After mounting, the TV can be slid back and forth about 8" along the rails that are on the wall. This allows installation flexibilty if you need to center the TV in a spot where the wall studs do not line up with the exact position where you want the TV to be.

There is no reason I can see to spend more for a wall mount. It is easy to install, fairly well made, and does the job. I used it to mount a 60" Samsung LCD.

Easy to assemble. Easy to install (they even included a little carpenter's level - how cute!). Holds a 50+" Plasma TV (heavy) without flinching. Question: Why should I pay over $100 for any of the others? Answer: I "SHOULDN'T"!!! It even came with an included HDMI cable. This wasn't advertised though, so I don't know if everybody gets one (and I don't know how well it works, as I already had my own).

My stud locations were in the worst possible orientation for placing the TV exactly where I wanted it. But all I needed to do was drill one extra hole in each of the horizontal rails and up she went. Very very good design (as an engineer, I love simple solutions). The maximum tilt range is perfect for my sitting distance - about 15 feet away from the TV mounted with its base about 4 and a half feet off the floor.

Excellent piece. Highly recommended.
