Sometimes in the drug hustle some females don't get the respect they deserve. Well that's about to change once you take a trip to New Jersey and get acquainted with Cheetah.
She's been making a name for herself in the city of Newark holding things down with her drug moves; but not quite getting to where she wants to be. Although Cheetah rocks a tough exterior and has a swagger that commands attention from both men and women, she has a big heart that's revealed only to the ones she loves.

Naj is Cheetah's BFF. She is the levelheaded one of the two. Naj is in a loving relationship with someone who understands the close friendship between Naj and Cheetah. While Naj believes family comes first, she knows Cheetah's strengths and weakness and watches her best friend's back regardless and besides...Cheetah is family.

When Violence hits close to home, the girls decide to move their business to the next level and make a promise that once they hit the million dollar mark they will get out of the game.
Of course the competition is not too happy to see the girls on the come up and the jealousy starts to flow.
Cheetah and Naj believe in trust and loyalty and run a tight crew. But things start to fall apart when the backstabbers show their true colors and Cheetah's sometimes out of control ways threatens their goal and her love life.

Missy Jackson has her feet firmly planted in the literary world with her debut novel. I thoroughly enjoy ALL the characters and the story is awesome! I liked that the author was able to develop an edgy character like Cheetah with a no nonsense attitude, but yet with many other aspects to her personality.
Ms Jackson is one to watch and I will be looking out for future projects from her.

4.0 out of 5 stars Girls Can Too!, November 7, 2010
This review is from: Cheetah (Wahida Clark Presents Publishing) (Paperback)
From the boardroom to the streets, women are at a disadvantage in a man's world. Someone should tell that to Yanika Johnson aka Cheetah. Cheetah takes the streets of Newark, New Jersey, by storm proving that anything a man can do, she can do and better.

"Cheetah" is excitingly different and a must read. It's a compelling story of the ups and downs that females in a male dominated game face. "Cheetah" will definitely leave you wondering if that is how the other side really gets down.

5.0 out of 5 stars AAMBC Book Reviews, March 28, 2010
This review is from: Cheetah (Wahida Clark Presents Publishing) (Paperback)
Hard on the outside creamy on the inside is the best way to describe Cheetah in this street tale. Opening the book I didn't know what to expect, but I got a lot more than what I thought I'd get. Cheetah is the female version of a male drug lord. She hustles hard and loves hard. After being robbed and beaten half to death she was out for straight revenge. She was out to get who got her, but luckily her best friend and partner in crime Naj convinced her to lay low and get her head right before she went out and did something stupid. Cheetah listened and it was a wise decision.

Cheetah experiences it all; love, murder and all the madness that comes with the street life and you would think as a female she'd lose it, but she holds it all down. She takes care of her family and even though she had to deal with a dope fiend sister, she still took care of her and made sure she was okay. Just as she did for everyone she knew that needed her.

To say more would give away the ending and I recommend you read it for yourself because it is definitely a page turner. It took me a minute to get pass the lesbian lifestyle, but when I did the book delivered. I loved the way the story builds and I like the fact that Cheetah was so balanced. She had a hard side and a soft side so that kept me relating to her character. Overall Missy did an excellent job with telling this story. I am definitely looking forward to her next novel. Great job Missy and much more success to you.

After reading a few pages on Amazon.com, my interest was pique. After being robbed and beaten, Cheetah changed totally to a gangsta, taking no prisoners. It is true " you reap what you sow" and that it what happen with Cheetah and company. Looking forward to reading more from Missy Jackson and Wahida Clark

4.0 out of 5 stars What Goes Around Comes Around, December 31, 2009

This review is from: Cheetah (Wahida Clark Presents Publishing) (Paperback)
Cheetah, born Yanika Johnson, is far from the cuddly name presented here. She is a street hustler from Newark, NJ and she is no one to mess with. She gives new meaning to the word "thug". Circumstances make her even more ruthless and she sets about the streets of Newark on a reign of terror. Eventually what goes around comes around, and unfortunately for Cheetah, it comes around in the worst way.

CHEETAH was a very powerful read. I could not put this book down. Missy Jackson gives the reader some insight on what could be happening in the streets where you live. This book fits the bill when we read about or hear about street violence in newspapers and on television everyday, but it hits home once you read it. The reader gets a glimpse as to what really goes down between street hustlers and crime. It also shines some light on females living in "the life"...the life of lesbianism. Despite the hard core persona Cheetah portrays, she has a soft heart when it comes to the people she loves. An excellent read!

This was different, however I enjoyed it. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down, I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. I won't spoil it by telling what the book was about, you will just have to go out and buy it. It was good.
