Evaluation of Caro,

This review is from: Cheetahs of the Serengeti Plains: Group Living in an Asocial Species (Wildlife Behavior and Ecology series) (Paperback)
The book looks at cheetahs from an evolutionary stand;it takes into account the major factors which affect the fitness of an animal. This book is a valuable educational resource for those intrested in the behavior of the cheetah. This text however is not very exciting or entertaining. I recommend that you use the book for educational purposes or you may be disappointed.

This review is from: Cheetahs of the Serengeti Plains: Group Living in an Asocial Species (Wildlife Behavior and Ecology series) (Paperback)
This is a decent biological and evolutionary study of Cheetahs. This book and Caro's other work has provided the foundation for much of our understanding of Cheetahs. However, some of it has been overtaken by Dr. Laurie Marker's work. That's not so much the fault of this book (which is 15 years old).
