4.0 out of 5 stars Did what an apron is supposed to do... December 21, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase
I purchased this apron for my husband who is about 6'2, and it fitted him fine. Protected him from his chest to a little past his knee. He is a bigger guy, and wasn't able to tie the waist straps to the front as shown in the photo, but it tied fine from the back. The two pockets are useful for putting pens, notepads, rags or whatever else that one needs within reach. This one doesn't show dirt or soiling as much as aprons that are of white or other solid color.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Guy's Apron February 15, 2010

No-nonsense and practical with spacious pockets. The generous length and long ties make it a great choice for the full-figured gentleman.

4.0 out of 5 stars It's an apron April 14, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase
This is a good quality, nice-looking, generously sized apron with ties that are long enough to tie in front. It does not, however, have an adjustable neck.

5.0 out of 5 stars good coverage, unisex apron July 5, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase
I bought this because I don't like how many of the women's aprons have a narrow chest area and I wanted an apron with better coverage. In addition to solving that problem I also found it to be of good quality and design and flattering on me. I'm a women, but I see that this apron must be a good unisex apron since so many men have reviewed liking how it looked on them.

I like to wear aprons higher on the chest and this one hung lower than I wanted, but all I had to do was put a little knot at the very end at the back of the neck of it and now it's perfect and with no anoying D-rings to fiddle with either. There must be a trick to those things but I haven't figured it out yet!

5.0 out of 5 stars Stylin' and functional August 11, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase
I bought this apron to use with my indoor electric grill, and it's protected me from shirt-staining platters for a few months now. I'm a 6' tall 180lbs guy, and this apron covers me sufficiently. I can tie it in the front fine. Food doesn't show up easily on it, and it washes well. BBQ sauce, soy sauce, fat, olive oil, blood, and salad dressing as all came out fine and left the apron looking as stylin' as when it came out of the box.

5.0 out of 5 stars At least someone makes them like they used to. June 28, 2011
My girlfriend got me one of these and I'm impressed. If you're not interested in a long "back in the day" story, you can stop here and rest assured you're getting a very good apron.

Back in the mid eighties, I worked in the restaurant industry. Our linen supplier, who did tablecloths, napkins, kitchen towels, chef coats/pants and aprons would take all of the linens away every couple of days and replace them with freshly laundered ones. Occasionally they would offer clean, but stained beyond all hope aprons and side towels to the folks in the kitchen at extremely good prices...half a dozen aprons and a dozen towels for five bucks if memory serves. These were nice, big, white aprons made from thick fabric and with long, long ties. A half dozen of these aprons lasted me through the nineties and well into the naught years.

Around 2005, it was time to start looking for replacement aprons. I'm 6'2" with a 44 inch waist. Most of the aprons we could find in department stores were a)girlie, b)expensive and c)fit me about like a bib fit's a toddler with nary a hope in the world of being able to be tied in the front.

Years of hearing me whine about substandard aprons and a shared laugh when a "free with magazine subscription" apron arrived in the mail and came to just past my belt buckle led my girlfriend to find this. Not only does it come in a man friendly European chalk stripe pattern, it's large, and above all else, the ties are long enough to be tied in the front. You don't know how important something like this is until you lose it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cheap and Good Quality December 23, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase
For the price I paid, the quality is outstanding. The only thing is the string that goes around the neck is slightly too long; I would prefer it to be slightly shorter so that it can cover more of my chest, but it's not a big deal.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good material; faulty design December 3, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase
There is no adjustment mechanism/sliding D ring on the neck. Unless one is really tall and/or really, really big, it only covers about half of the upper area it should.

Good quality material - hence the three stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good size for a man or tall woman
I'm 5'10", and this is plenty big enough. The strap is long enough to tie easily in the front with a 36" waist. Could be a bit long for a shorter woman.
