3.0 out of 5 stars Works great but my husband hates it. September 26, 2012
This is the greatest product. Perfect banana slices every time. Every morning I slice a banana - six slices onto my cereal and six slices onto my husband's. It takes seconds. Just push the slicer over the banana and give it a quick squeeze. Another push, another squeeze and poof, that banana is history.

My husband likes bananas but hates watching me do this for some reason. He hasn't slept in weeks. I thought it was because I was clumsy at first while I got the hang of it, but I'm real good at it now. Push - squeeze, push - squeeze. Real quick. He still hates it. Go figure.

My wife came home from Williams-Sonoma with one of these. I locked myself in the bathroom, from where I am now typing this plea for help, and warning. THERE AREN'T ANY BANANAS IN THE HOUSE!

5.0 out of 5 stars this thing has so many uses January 3, 2013
My wife recently got this device as a white elephant gift for christmas. She has loved using it to slice bananas to put in her cereal each morning. However the other night I found an alternative use. I have teenage daughters. One of them is always dating boys from the wrong side of the tracks. New Years Eve she brought home her latest flavor of the month. Usually I try to chat with these gentleman about their intentions towards my daughter. Typically occupy my hands by cleaning my vast array of assault rifles while i chat with the fellow. However this night i was fresh out of gun oil. Always the one to improvise, I grabbed a pack of Oscar Meyer Hot Dogs and the banana slicer. I proceeded to discuss my fatherly love for my daughter while slicing the hot dogs into mico thin slices.
Not only did this young man bring my daughter home by 9 pm New Years Eve, i am told he has now moved to another city.
Thanks Chef'n Bananza!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Far better than a Husqvarna January 2, 2013
This product is a considerable improvement over the tool I previously used to slice bananas, the Husqvarna 460 60.3cc X-Torq. It is easier to clean, makes far neater slices, and doesn't seem to waste as much banana as the Husqvarna 460 does, all at a considerably lower price. I would definitely recommend this for all your banana-related needs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent pervert deterrent! September 24, 2012
I don't really eat bananas but I do go for long runs in the city at night. I contemplated getting a pit bull but my landlord doesn't allow them and pepper spray can spray back in your face. I wear this "banana" slicer on a chain around my neck and any time a creeper comes near me I flash them my banana slicer and they avert their eyes and go back to digging through the garbage. I haven't had the opportunity to slice any manfruit yet but I live in bath salts Florida and I have full faith that my banana slicer WILL do the job! Another safety bonus is that it is yellow and very reflective at night.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thanks to my brother, OCD living gets easier! October 13, 2012
First off, I have to say this is one of the most versatile gadgets on the planet! It not only cuts bananas, but also plantains, zuchinni, cucumbers, string beans, fingers (oops), and if you use your imagination, much more! In fact, I think I saw a rabbi with one of these in his bag.....simply amazing!!! With that in mind, I am thinking of starting a side business.....but back to food prep.

The Chef'n Bananza has really simplified my life. As someone with OCD, I can now eat a banana that is sliced perfectly. I can't tell you how many bananas have gone to waste because they were 1mm thicker than another. I'm also not late for work anymore!!! It's not easy stacking banana slices in perfectly even slices after counting out exactly 925 flakes of cereal. Then getting my salad ready for my lunch....I used to spend HOURS prepping!!! Now I can do it in 2775 seconds. And since everything, including this review needs to be a factor of 185, life is now sooo much better! Thank you, Chef'n Bananza Banana Slicer!

4.0 out of 5 stars Handy, but incomplete
It's a useful tool, but you really can't use it to its full potential without the Chef'n Bananza Mogen Clamp. It would be handy if you'd sell them as a set.
