Product Description

Amazon.com Review

Chef'n's clever garlic peeler functions similar to a cherry or olive pitter. Place a garlic clove in the holding basket, squeeze the hinged handle, and the claw-like husker blades strip the papery peel from the clove. Any cook who's dealt with sticky garlic skin, is likely to appreciate this innovation. The peeler is a natural companion for the Chef'n Garlic Machine, a stainless steel garlic press that doubles as a refrigerator storage tube for unused cloves.

The Chef'n garlic peeler is made of durable plastic and has a hanging loop at the hinge juncture that toggles to lock the peeler shut--making it more compact for storage. For easy cleaning, the garlic peeler is safe for the top rack in the dishwasher. The peeler measures 8-1/2 inches long when extended, and 6 inches long with blade retracted. --Garland Withers

Product Description

The Chef'N Garlic Peeler makes it easier and less messy to peel a clove. Just pull the clove from the garlic bulb, open the Garlic Peeler and pop the clove into the special basket. Squeeze handles together and presto -- the patented DeHusker claws strip away the papery peel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent - no mess, cloves intact, March 30, 2010

I received this as a gift several years ago ... perhaps through so much use, it broke. It is easy for the beginner or master chef.
It's my hope they will make this available again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful, and... No Longer Made?, September 17, 2010
This review is from: Chef'n Garlic Peeler (Kitchen)
I also had this device that peeled a toe of garlic in two passes, handy if you are doing 15-20 toes. Sure beats the silicon tubes, in my opinion. The Chef'N website refers to it as a "landmark" Chef'N product, but says it's no longer available. Well, that's about par for the course. If you get lucky enough to find one, don't put it through the dishwasher, as I guess the heat finally caused mine to weaken and break. Great product, but I didn't know they'd become so elusive. Only found one hit for it when Googled, and at a good price; ebay seller wants you to come to China to pick it up. I'm a little busy... Ideas?
