Decent Vegetable Brush,

This Chef'n Palm Brush is a pretty good brush. Its brush hair is tougher than soft toothbrush hair and softer than brass/steel wire brush. I would say the toughness of its brush hair is on par with a brand new medium to hard tooth brush. It works well on most vegetables. I have tried it on potatoes, okra, butternut squashes, celeries, and mushrooms... It seems to do a pretty good job, except the mushrooms and celeries. Its brush hair is too hard for the mushrooms. Cleaning celery proves to be slightly challenging because of the curvature surface of the celery. It can effectively clean the convex surface, but not the concave surface due to its short hair. I presume a brush with softer and longer hair will do a better job at cleaning the mushrooms and celeries, but it will not be as effectively for potatoes, for example. Ultimately, the Palm Brush strikes a good balance, though not perfect for all vegetables. It is best for flatter and harder surfaces. Think of it as a soft scrubber or hard toothbrush.
As for the unique ring design, I have mix feelings about it. When using the ring alone, I found the palm brush wobbles as I brush. Afterall, it is be a single point contact. For a small job, it is much easier to just clinch the entire brush with my hand and start scrubbing. It is more secure and provides greater force. On the other hand, clinching the palm brush for extensive period of time makes one's hand tired. Wearing the ring is more ergonomic, and you can brush through many more vegetables this way -- even if it wobbles a bit. By the way, I have seen people wear this in either direction -- with the "chef'n" logo reading right side up or upside down. One will put the brush under your palm and the other will put it under your fingers. As for the price, it is more expensive comparing to other veggie brushes on the market.

Great veggie brush,

I love this palm brush. I was skeptical about the fit of the "finger bracket", but its flexibility allows it to fit nicely over both my middle finger & my husband's middle finger. Brush feels very natural to hold, and has a slighty rubbery texture so you don't have to worry about it slipping out of your hand like you do with so many other veggie scrubbers. The bristles are short and stiff, so it cleans dirt off potatoes, etc. very well. Definitely recommend!

The brush fits solidly in the hand, making cleaning of vegetable such as potatoes and carrots a breeze.
My only complaint is that while I understand the finger slot needs to accommodate a variety of finger sizes, I would like it to be a bit less flexible. It tends to slip a bit when I kick it into high speed to clean enough potatoes for a picnic potato salad. However, it works really well for casually cleaning veges.

I first purchased one of these in a store. Once I knew how much I was going to love it I went back looking for more. None to be had! So...as I always do when I want to find something - I check out Amazon. I highly recommend this vegetable brush. It is hands down the best I have ever had. It fits perfectly and does an incredible job of cleaning the vegetables and fruits. I ordered one for me and sent one to my sister. We are vegetarian and she is vegan so we consume lots of fresh veggies and fruit!

It's the perfect size and fits my hand perfectly.
The bristles don't fall out. It does a great job scrubbing taters. What more could you ask for!

I am suprised at how difficult it has been for me to find a 'produce brush' (otherwise called a veggie scrubber). When I read so often about intestinal diseases being spread on vegetables, I wonder why there aren't veggie scrubbers everywhere! So i bought this one. It's fine, but I wish I could have picked one up in a store and not paid shipping for it.
