Known for changing up old standards, Chef'n reinvents the vegetable peeler with the little palm-sized tool. Designed to secure over the finger and nestle against the palm, the peeler allows for contoured movements--a nice alternative to the striking motions of the old-style kind. The body has soft rubber details for easy cupping, and the blade is stainless steel for durability. Designed for all kinds of produce, the peeler cleans up in the dishwasher on the top rack. There are multiple color choices to match your tastes, including sleek stainless steel, crisp white, and colorful cherry and avocado. --Emily Bedard

This thing ROCKS!

I was also terrified that I would peel off part of my finger along with the skin of whatever fruit I was holding.

I just bought a bunch of these for Christmas gifts. I've enjoyed using my friend's. The true test came when I went to peel a butternut squash. It took the first layer off with no effort whatsoever, and I only had to go back once to take a little more off. With a regular peeler, I had to do it two and three times. Incredibly comfortable in my hand, too.

I already have four peelers and the last thing I thought I needed was one more. But it got rave reviews and for $5...

Because this fits on your finger, it acts like an extension of your hand. Imagine you are stroking the surface of a rutabaga (ok, that sounds weird) -- and the peel comes right off! That's what it's like to use this peeler.

Very sharp (be careful -- don't ask me how I know!).

I came by this item online and decided to check it out in person before buying. Guess what! I bought it on the spot. The peeler fis neatly in your hand, irrespective of the size of your palm. It is extremely easy to use and makes conventional peelers look like clumsy dinosaurs. One area for improvement is the blade itself: it could stand a little sharpening.

I just got this peeler for a gift and I just used it to peel yams; at first it just was not working and I thought oh well, a good idea, but just not a great gadget, then...I realized I was being a complete ditz, I had not removed the saftey strip off the blade! ;-)lol. I proceeded to peel 4 yams in just a couple of minutes with no strain on my hands. It peels perfectly and effortlessly!!!! I am definitely going to be putting one in everyone's stocking this Christmas!!

I gave my wife one in her stocking at Christmas. She loves it, and so do I. Great design, easy operation, comfortable, and cool looking. What more can I say?

This peeler works great...maybe a little too great. I have sliced my fingers more times with this than any other peeler. Make sure you get a box of band-aids with this!

I don't write a lot of reviews, but when I saw this on here with none, I had to write one. I bought this at a store (you know the one..has stuff for your bedroom, bathroom, and more..hehe), and when I put it in my hand, it felt nice and comfortable, but that of course says nothing of its peeling abilities. And $6, when I have 20 other peelers at home...ehhh, should I or shouldn't I?

Needless to say, I did, and gosh, that was a fantastic choice. I never use any other peeler. The blades are still sharp (I bought it in December..you know, Christmas shopping, and then whoops, most of the stuff is for me!), it still peels better than any other peeler I have, and couldn't be more comfortable. I love this thing.

Now I'm eyeing up the vegetable brush of the same design, and have the same "should I or shouldn't I" dialog running through my head. I'm betting I'll do it, and it'll probably be another fabulous purchase... I'll let you know. ;)

Very easy to use and comfortable. Would be especially effective for those with arthritis as you don't have to have a firm grip. Sharp two-edged blade with just enough swivel.
