The Chef'n Salt Ball has an unusual, one-handed design unlike the typical hold-and-twist motion of most grinders. Two soft-grip handles squeeze together to activate the grinding mechanism. As a result, it takes less motion to grind the same amount of salt as it would with a conventional grinder. In addition, shaped like a bunny head with two big floppy ears, the whimsical ball livens up any table setting.

The body of the Salt Ball is constructed of sturdy, clear plastic, while the "rabbit-ear" handles consist of rubber grip pads. A durable ceramic grinder mechanism is adjustable to five coarseness levels--a small knob on the underside turns to the right for coarse and the left for a finer grind. An easy-slide refill window on the side of the Salt Ball makes replenishing the salt supply a snap.

The Salt Ball comes with a smoke-gray counter stand that can also be used as a refill funnel. Chef'n also offers a matching PepperBall. The Chef'n Salt Ball comes filled with coarse sea salt. It measures 6 inches tall and 3-1/2 inches wide. --Garland Withers
