I use this for mainly strawberries. Freeze abunch for winter desserts and cereals. Cut prep time by 70%, really. Great for mushrooms too. Well built. Blades won't break or stretch like wire type egg slicers. You will be happy with this item, PROMISE!!!

This is undoubtedly the best strawberry slicer around. REAL blades; not flimsy wire. Blades are firm and SHARP! They will cut- not SQUASH the fruit- the way some of the cheaper slicers with wire blades will. I primarily use this to prepare strawberries for dehydrating, and consistently receive evenly sliced berries. I can easily slice 5 pounds of strawberries in less than 10 minutes. Clean up is easy- just watch those blades because they are sharp. You cannot go wrong if you purchase this.

this works good but you can feel that it is a bit week. Will not cut tomatoes as well and fast then strawberries for example. Just hoped it could do more.

It does what it says
I have used it and it does slice ripe strawberries. I could see it being hard to use on hard fruits but I am glad I purchased it and will use it many times.

The only disappointment I have it that this gadget doesn't quite feel as solid as I thought it would be. Otherwise, it works just fine and I'm glad I got it.

Limited use
The strawberries have to be just the right size and the slices don't come out as well on another product I have used. It's is also difficult to use and can easily pinch your skin.
