This is a nice box. You can soak your wood chips in it before you drain it out. My problem is that I have a gas grill and though I put it directly on the fire below my grilling plates I haven't gotten enough smoke yet... I will try to give it longer time before I start cooking but perhaps a lighter metal that would heat up faster on gas grills would do the trick.
