AMAZON IS 100% RELIABLE, THE DELIVERY AS PROMISED. THE PRODUCT IS EXCELLENT: IN QUALITY, MATERIALS AND PERFORMANCE. PETITE CONE OR COOKIE ARE THE PERFECT SIZE: A LARGER WAFFLE CONE WOULD BE SINFULLY FATTENING. ?ANYWAY YOU WILL EAT MORE THAN ONE!LIVING IN MEXICO, I HAVE TO MAKE MY OWN RECIPE FOR THE WAFFLE CONE MIX, WHICH TURNED INTO A GREAT VARIETY OF DELICIOUS CONES. MIXING TBPS. AND TSPS. OF DIFFERENT FLOURS, BUTTERS, MILKS, NUTS, SWEETENERS AND FLAVOURS I WAS ABLE TO ACHIEVE DIFFERENT DEGREES OF CRISPINESS, THICKNESSES AND EVEN A BIGGER WAFFLE, UP TO 7 INCHES. YOU EASILY CAN ROLL THE 3 CONES, WORKING WITH ONE AT A TIME ON TOP OF A CLOTH, NOT A COLD COUNTER. ?ENJOY IT AS MUCH AS I DO!

Terrible Product!,

Do not waste your time in purchasing this product. At first, I thought this would be a great kitchen gadget for making small cones for my kids or when I just want a little treat, but I was wrong. The manufacture didn't think that as soon as the waffles are done, you have to be quick and roll the waffles into cones for it too cool. Well, instead of making one, you have to roll three in enough time before it cools. I tried numerous times to roll each one quickly as possible, but by the second one the third waffle is cooled and has not had the chance to be rolled up into a cone. It really is not smart for the manufacture to sell this product, unless it comes with three cone makers to wrap the waffle in. And, to state that you need three people to make it or it will not work. Do not bother purchasing this product, unless you are an expert cone maker. I did, however, went ahead and purchased the regular sized cone maker. It is hard to perfect the perfect cone without having a hole at the bottom, but at least I have time to wrap up one cone at a time without having it cool on me to quickly. Also, the petite cone waffle maker is rediculously too small to try to wrap. It really is a waste of energy. You could put batter in only one of the cone indentions, and do it one by one if its what you are looking for. That could work. All in all, personally it wasn't worth my time and money spent on the thing.

I bought this to make gluten free ice cream cones for my son's castle cake. It worked just like a charm. It is simple and easy to use, but you do have to work quickly. As the cones are ready, you have to shape them before they cool off. We were able to make nearly a dozen. These are not the size of regular cones, but a little bit smaller. Great item for the money.

Chef's Choice 836 Petite Cone Express only works on 120V, not 220/250V. This is not indicated by amazon. A Step down transformer costing about $90 is required in countries using a power supply of 250 volt.

stroopwafels!,
By MamaIris Dutch in the USA (Lacey, WA USA) - See all my reviews

This machine seems more ideal to make Dutch stroopwafels. Stroopwafels are waffles made from yeast dough, split in half, and one half is then topped with hot caramel. The 2 half pieces are then put back together to make the chewy stroopwafel cookie. 3 inches would be the ideal size for such a traditional cookie. I agree with the previous review that to make 3" cones would be inconvenient at best. I intend to buy this waffle maker for the sole use of making stroopwafels.I cannot review the workings of the product, since I do not own it yet. Once I do, I will update the review. |
