Sharpened Chinese steel scissors in a few strokes. I had 2 old pairs of American steel scissors I took out of the trash 30 years ago that at the time were quality steel, but tossed because they were dull.Used the resurface insert to put a new angle on them and then the sharpening insert to put on the edge. It took time--but if you sharpen tools by hand it always takes time. End result--all scissors in my house are very sharp and the steel integrity was not compromised by the heat of grinding.
