No Sticky!
This is truly a non-stick surface. I cooked some fish fillets on the grill and when I went to take them off there was non even a bit if sticking. And the best part is that it can go straight into the dishwasher.

Plastic!! - only usable for indirect heat
This item is not what you think it is!! It is a very expensive piece of flabby plastic grid that you CANNOT put over direct heat. The dealer's instructions DO NOT mention this, but the manufacturers packaging certainly does. However from reading the dealer's instructions you certainly would expect that you get an item with which you can...

However from reading the dealer's instructions you certainly would expect that you get an item with which you can grill over direct heat. might be able to grill regularly. Vegetables certainly need to be grilled, i.e. over direct heat. You cannot do this with this mat. I am returning this mat.

I ordered this as a Xmas gift for my Dad who BBQ's a lot. It dosent look like much but Iam sure its helpful when grilling. I wish I would have ordered 2 since it seemed kind of chincy to just give one. I thought for some reason it would be more elabrate. It makes a nice addition to a gift basket full of grilling goodies!
