5.0 out of 5 stars Currently, the most tasteful Brazilian Instrumental Music, September 10, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Cheio DE Dedos (Audio CD)
Guinga shows his complete control over the guitar textures, composes deep melodies over intricate harmonies making use of some of the best brazilian musicians. Ritmically rich, this CD is a must for those who want to learn more about the subtleties of contemporary brazilian music. Wonderful job Guinga! Lula Galvao deserves compliments too.

5.0 out of 5 stars A worthy successor of the greatest names in Brasilian music, October 15, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Cheio DE Dedos (Audio CD)
Brasilian popular music is probably the most inspiring of the century. We have had several generations of marvellous composers in the 30's and 40's (samba), the 50's and 60's (bossa nova) and the 70's and 80's (Caetano Veloso, Chico Buarque, Egberto Gismonti). The succession of this last generation was not so clear and Guinga has proved to be able to be the one, through this marvellous and inspired work and also for his 2 previous records, full of beatiful songs with lyrics by Aldir Blanc. Keep it up, Guinga ! The lovers of Brasilian music need your talent.
