5.0 out of 5 stars Probably the greatest book in human history., December 12, 1997
By A Customer
Well, maybe not, but its pretty damn good. I laughed, I cried, I colored in the pictures. Comes with a complementary Margarita recipe.

5.0 out of 5 stars Laughter Hits the Spot, November 25, 1997
By A Customer
Combining the sophomoric and the sophisticated,
this polished parody reminds readers that satire
can run either Juvenalian or Horatian. The barbs
here are gentle and Ms. Clinton is actually given
greater respect than one might imagine. The
most cutting humor is directed, and rightly so,
at national political figures--including dad--
on both sides of the political aisle. Hillary
Rodham Clinton also takes a few potshots, but
she's satirized as much as a mother as a policy wonk. The
most appealing aspect of the book is its
success as a parody of both the college
experience and "inside the Beltway" politics.
Imaginative, well illustrated,
infinitely humane and bipartisan in its
humor, Chelsea Clinton's Freshman Notebook
is great fun. Readers will laugh
out loud while reading it, and when's the
last time a book did that for you?

5.0 out of 5 stars Now THIS is comedy, May 15, 2000
By A Customer
A clever, funny, well-done look at college life for the first daughter. Lots of good stuff here, and the authors get the details of college life --and the Clintons -- exactly right. I especially liked learning that Chelsea Clinton rearranged spells "Hells acne tonic" and the picture of Chelsea roasting that porker Newt Gingrich. Highly recommended

5.0 out of 5 stars A good light read!
I loved the illustrations! It was well thought out and executed . . . as well as being very, very funny! Not for Clintonistas.

5.0 out of 5 stars I usually hate humor books, but I loved this one.
This book is both hilarious and intelligent. Many parts are plain laugh-out-loud funny, especially Chelsea's views of the Gore children. Read more
