The stopper looks nice and matches the Chemex pot; unfortunately, it falls out easily and gets hot when in place. It does what it is supposed to but is not easy to use. I would skip this item.

Nice to have for entertaining. I prefer to keep the grounds in the top to keep the coffee warmer. A thermos would be even better.

I thought that this would have had a tighter fit, but it is just a glass lid that sits inside the funnel of the chemex. Haven't left the coffee sitting out to get cold, so I don't know if the lid really keeps the coffee warm. I think the lid is better at keeping dust etc. out of the chemex when stored than keeping coffee warm.

Love my chemex purchases! Coffee is flavorful, never bitter (smooth!). Reheating coffee in chemex with lid is easy on my gas stovetop. Reheated coffee tastes fresh! (Happy I purchased model with handle)

Wish this was a lid that would actually stay in place when you pour coffee.

The Chemex coffee brewing system is just plain awesome. The glass lid is more decorative than functional. For the price, why not get one. After you brew coffee in a Chemex brewing system and pour your first cup, you need to keep the coffee warm until you are ready for a refill. The lid will help to keep heat in, but you ultimatly need to provide a low heat source under the flask to keep the coffee warm. If you have a gas stove, a low heat setting on the smallest burner is perfect. If you have an electric stove, you need a wire grate to keep the Chemex coffee maker off the heating coil and you can keep your coffee warm.

wonderful product, but it is just a much-needed lid for my chemex...how excited can one get over a coffee-pot lid????

Although this lid is made from a nice piece of glass, I found it ineffective at retaining heat with my six-cup Chemex pot. Previously I used an old insulated French press pot to keep my coffee warm. That was a much better solution. With this lid, my coffee became lukewarm after fifteen minutes. Too much heat escapes from the pouring groove of the Chemex pot. I was hoping for one less thing to wash every day, but this was mostly disappointing.

I bought this for my 10 Cup Coffee Maker. It's smaller than I imagined it from the photo, it's slightly under 3 inches, and sits well into the neck of the coffee maker. It falls out easily if you pick the pot up not noticing it's there, but after trying all sorts of other options it seems to be the best one for covering it and keeping the coffee a little warmer. It looks nice when you have company, much nicer that trying to balance a tapered coffee cup in the neck or other such solutions.

It's not perfect, but I'd buy it again. What more can I say?

Fits the chemex okay but still lose heat at spout. Wish chemex design would have spout higher so lid would fit completely. Love my chemex. Best tasting coffee.
