Product Description

The Chemglass CG-1402-18 150mL Buchner filtering funnel has a sealed-in coarse frit disc with a 40 to 60 micron pore size to filter solutions without the use of filter paper. The coarse fritted-glass disc has 40 to 60 micron pore size, and is sealed in place to prevent unfiltered particles from contaminating the filtrate. The funnel has a 60mm disc diameter and 50mm depth from the top of the funnel opening to the disc. The funnel stem has a 15mm OD (outside diameter) and a 75mm length. The funnel meets ASTM International E438, Type 1, Class A specifications for low-expansion borosilicate glass. Fritted-glass filtering funnels are used for general purpose and vacuum filtration procedures to filter particles from solutions when a paper filter is not appropriate, and in lab applications in chemistry, education, research, and life science applications.
