Fixed out low pH problem, easy to apply,

This review is from: Arch Chemical 5Lb Hth Ph Plus (Pack Of 6) 61301 Water Balancers & Maintenance Products
The ideal range for pH in swimming pool water should be from 7.0 - 7.6. Such a level should prevent burning eye sensation and itchy skin. The pH of our eyes is 7.2 to 7.4 and, the closer the pool water is to that level, the more comfortable we feel while in the pool. In addition to that, low pH levels would increase the chlorine consumption and corrode metal parts faster.
I had to use the pH Plus on our pool right after opening it because 5 months of it being covered and receiving nothing but (acid) rain tends to reduce the pH level drastically. On our 20-25,000 gal. pool, I had to use 2 5-lbs. containers to raise the pH to a level from where natural factors: sun, wind, us swimming in the pool would raise it and keep it at acceptable levels. Note: I bought my 'hth pH Increaser' from a 'brick and mortar' store but, by simply looking at the shipping weight listed here and at the price, this MUST be a six-pack offer. I suggest that the vendor specifies or clarifies this in the product specs.
