Counseling expertise
I feel very pleased to have made this purchase, it has already helped me look at my work differently. I now have a better understanding of what is needed in order to help my clients develop goals for themselves while in addictions treatment.

Not helpful to me
I was disappointed that this book appeared to be copies of treatment plans the author had used in his practice, leaving out confidential info, of course. I would not recommend this book to those who are clinicians in the field of substance use. I looked the book over and have not used it since. My opinion is that it does not address mood disorders or substance use...

I was disappointed that this book appeared to be copies of treatment plans the author had used in his practice, leaving out confidential info, of course. I would not recommend this book to those who are clinicians in the field of substance use. I looked the book over and have not used it since. My opinion is that it does not address mood disorders or substance use disorders in a specific manner with measurable objectives and goals.
