5.0 out of 5 stars Dynamic Thermodynamics
Makes Thermo easier to understand if you're an undergrad in Chem Eng...easier, not easy. Romantic to dedicate it to his sweetheart but maybe she would rather have a jeep.

1.0 out of 5 stars Confusing and full of errors
I used this book as an undergrad and it was terrible. First, there must have been over 100 errors in the book. Second, the explainations of complicated principles were often incomplete. If you are looking for a good chemical engineering thermo book, try Smith, Van Hess, and Abbott.

5.0 out of 5 stars good text, April 12, 2004

We just used this book in Chem Eng Thermo, and it explains things pretty well. I had Chem Thermo before, and that was mostly theory. The applications (machines, engines, etc) are the big thing in this book. It might help that I had Chem Thermo before. There are lots of good examples all worked out.

1.0 out of 5 stars Beware when author is teaching the course!, March 16, 2004

The author required the class to buy his book, which as already noted is filled with errors and incomplete examples and explanations. Avoid if you can.

Finally, a thermo book you can actually read! Lots of worked examples, diagrams and tables of properties. This is the second book I've used for thermo, and now I think I actually inderstand it.
