4.0 out of 5 stars Everything you need to know about green tea, October 16, 2000

This review is from: Chemistry and Applications of Green Tea (Hardcover)
This is an amazing book that contains information about all aspects of the chemical properties of green tea. There is information about tea polyphenols, ranging from their purported cancer prevention to its deodorizing effects. My only complaint is that the book does not say whether many of these properties are unique to green tea, or if they apply to black tea as well.

4.0 out of 5 stars A much needed resource on Green Tea Chemistry, April 19, 2010

This review is from: Chemistry and Applications of Green Tea (Hardcover)
Found this book while looking for trustworthy sources on green tea's health benefits. Needed good science to back up the anecdotal health claims made for consuming green tea. This information is necessary for my web site EatGreenTea.com to be a trusted source on the verified health benefits of Green Tea. I found some very useful information in this book for my purposes. However, I'm not sure that most casual readers will find it worth the expense. As it appears to have gone out of print, it can be hard to come across a copy. Harder still to come across a good deal on it.
