this is a very good book thus far in my reading, it gives a little backround into the scientists who created such concepts and ideas like dalton, avogrado, mendeleev etc... it gives practice problems and explanations, a very nice index, and a very good reference, although im using to prepare for my honors/AP chemistry class im taking this year, and im sure i will be very prepared thanks in part to this book

I wish I had this book when I was 15. Kudos to the author(s). This is also a perfect book to read front-to-back for anyone preparing to take a college course in chemistry or for anyone who needs quick review to master the basics of chemistry for an exam like the MCAT. Simple, concise. Every chapter gives you the fundamentals so that you can build a foundation for future study. Great guide for parents to buy for their kids so that get an edge on classmates. I read it in two days to refresh my memory from what I learned years ago. Key to any science -- master the basics. This book allows you to do that.

This book is very helpful for people trying to grasp the basics of chemistry. I'm one who really loves science, but I get a little bogged down in the details and calculations involved, so this book helped me get through the tough math. To me it reads like a textbook, only it cuts out all the filler, so it's very easy to find what I'm looking for, and the descriptions are clean and to the point.

This book got me through a very grueling high school chem class. It is very easy to understand. I can't put my finger on it, but something about the way this book is written just makes understanding come naturally for me.

Hope it does the same for you. A great value. Your grade depends on it!

this book was bought to accompany chem 1405 it had good notes came on time and in great condition. the books that are ordered say a guideline in time but come wat before that date.

I found this to be a great value and a great way to review Chemistry from high school and college. I definitely recommend purchasing it if you need to quickly review Chemistry in a few week.

Great book for a quick chemistry review. Definitely need to have a background to understand everything, but overall is a great refresher

I am a physisist with some interest in knowing chemistry, I found this book a very intense introduction that gives a panoramic view, good to continue with more advanced readings.

This book is a great SUPPLEMENT to a intro chemistry course, it is not a repleacement for instruction. i found this book to be a very good resource for quick reference. I am a little biased though, since one of the authors was one of my college professors.
