A thought provoking and clearly written book on neurochemist, February 18, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: The Chemistry of Conscious States: Toward a Unified Model of the Brain and the Mind (Paperback)
This book is an excellent resource for mental health professionals who have a biopsychosocial perspective of the healing process. Hobson advocates for non-drug interventions which can bring balance to neurochemistry. An extensive discussion of sleep and its importance to health is also very thorough and thought provoking. A must read

Brain chemistry, July 12, 2011
This review is from: The Chemistry of Conscious States: Toward a Unified Model of the Brain and the Mind (Paperback)
I read this book more than 12 years ago and it is the best book I found on the subject. After reading this book I had a solid understanding on how brain chemisrty influences states of consciousness. After reading this book one may see the connection between states of consciousness and our ability to perform certain task or activities.
